15 Selected For 2017 New Zealand Heartland Under 19 Team
15 Hurricanes region players have been selected for the 2017 Heartland Under 19 Team, to compete in the national Jock Hobbs Memorial Tournament in September.
This number (nearly two-thirds of the total squad), is the largest group of players from the Hurricanes region to ever be selected in the history of this team, representing all five of the member Heartland Provincial Unions.
12 of the 15 players selected are from the Hurricanes Heartland Under 20 Team which is currently playing in the Central Region Shield.
The players selected are:
East Coast RFU:
Fabyan Kahaki.
Horowhenua-Kapiti RFU:
Taina Keelan.
Poverty Bay RFU:
Ngahiwi Manuel.
Wairarapa-Bush RFU:
Ryan Hargood, Alec Hendricksen, Jack Loader, Bryan Arnold, Brad Griffith, Tristan Flutey.
Wanganui RFU:
Dylan Gallien, Hamish Bennett, Chris Breuer, Dylan Bowater, Gordon Coogan, Harry Symes.
