Hawkes Bay & Whanganui Inaugural Girls Under 16 Winners
The inaugural Girls Under 16 Development Camp/Tournament concluded at Napier Boys High School today, with Hawkes Bay winning the Division 1 title and Whanganui tasting success in Division 2.

(Hawkes Bay RFU Under 16 - Division 1 Winners)
In Division 1, Wellington were unbeaten in the round-robin play, defeating Hawkes Bay by 12 points to 5 and Manawatu by 24 points to 5. However it was Hawkes Bay who prevailed in the final match played earlier today. While the match ended in a 10 all draw, Hawkes Bay claimed the victory under the tie-breaker rules, by having scored the first try of the game.

(Whanganui RFU Under 16 - Division 2 Winners)
Going into today’s final day of play, Wairarapa Bush was eyeing a clean-sweep of the teenage representative age-group divisions they compete in, having comprehensively defeated Horowhenua-Kapiti and Poverty Bay in round-robin play and also edging Whanganui by 38 points to 26. However it was Whanganui who reversed their earlier defeat to win the Division 2 title by 26 points to 19.
