Two Manawatu Schools Feature In 2025 Top 4 National Finals
Palmerston North’s Manukura and Feilding’s High School admirably represented the Hurricanes region as two of the top four secondary schools in the national title-deciders played at Palmerston North's CET Arena, with Manukura winning its fourth consecutive national girls rugby title, while Feilding High School finished as runners-up in the boys competition.

Manukura defeated Hamilton Girls’ High School by 20 points to 17 retaining the Hine Pounamu Trophy, while Feilding High School were well-beaten by Rotorua Boys’ High School by 43 points to 17, also relinquishing their brief tenure in holding the Moascar Cup.

The Council warmly congratulates both schools in reaching the New Zealand finals, recognising the excellent work undertaken by the respective coaching and management teams in preparing their sides to compete with distinction. You can read more here.
